© Tom Tomorrow The last week or so was a heck of a fail. The Media is at the top of my list, who seem to have changed from making fun of blogs and other social media, to just repeating stuff they find on the internet verbatim with no fact checking what-so-ever. And how tone […]
© Ruben Bolling I love this comic. Even though I believe in the right to bear arms, I also believe that we really need some laws that promote gun safety. But gun fanatics oppose pretty much any regulation of guns. I think in the long run, this radical stance will backfire on them.

For years, Republicans have energized their base by backing hot-button social and class issues like gay marriage, immigration, gun control, and abortion. So it is interesting to realize how much public opinion has changed on these issues. Is it in spite of Republican opposition and pandering, or perhaps because of it? Welcome to the new […]
After the Nth Gun Massacre in recent history, there was a small attempt to discuss potential ways that we might be able to reduce gun violence. But the far right went nuts (even more nuts than usual), stockpiling guns and ammunition, calling for everyone to carry concealed weapons and allowing more guns in schools, walking […]

© Tom Tomorrow And you don’t have to: Yes, the guy in the second panel really exists and really did say he would start shooting people if any more gun control laws are enacted. Some random loony? No, he’s a former police chief, and owner of two companies that provide tactical weapons and training to […]

Because of recent shooting tragedies, the Obama administration is attempting to increase gun safety with new regulations. In response to that, a number of right-wing organizations declared Saturday to be “Gun Appreciation Day”, with activities across the nation. With predictable results: Three people injured and sent to hospital at a gun show in Raleigh, NC […]

There’s one important thing missing from Obama’s proposal to curb gun violence — ending the “war on drugs”. A significant amount of gun violence (more than from school gun rampages, which get all the headlines) is a direct result of illegal drug trafficking, and the drug trade is a major contributor to the Nation’s homicide […]
© Matt Bors How is it that the people who say they want to “starve the beast” are the same people who want to let the government spy on everyone, insist that we increase military spending, and also want to invade Iran?
