Yes, people are far too willing to give up personal dignity and respect in the name of a system of security that doesn’t even keep them safe.
I feel that, with all the fear that’s generated in our media, and the way our security is constantly being questioned therein, it would not be surprising if people are soon asked to submit to a DNA or fingerprint ID system. After all, there was that guy flying into Canada who was disguised as an older man. What if he had been carrying explosives?
I wonder how many of the people in favor of these measures never fly at all? It’s easy to give up the rights of other people.
