Foxsplaining Obamagate

Desi Lydic watches Fox News for 48 hours and then Foxsplains “Obamagate” on The Daily Show. It all makes sense to me now!

    “Obamagate” is the same exact conspiracy that’s been kicked around since 2016, just with a fancy new name and more airtime. Talking heads on the Right have been building a convoluted storyline for years, bending over backwards to convince their audience that Trump is a victim.

    The start of their narrative is the claim that George Papadopoulos was fed false information by people in the Obama administration, which he then reported to the FBI. This was the “original sin” of the conspiracy, and allows the right-wing to disregard anything and everything that came after. Whether it’s Flynn, Russian interference, or Trump’s piss poor decisions as President, it’s all part of the same conspiracy to undermine their favorite Commander-in-Chief.
