It only took one day for Donald Trump to go back to to blaming “both sides” for the violence in Charlottesville.
He also did something worse in a way. About the white supremacist who drove his car into a crowd of protesters (killing one and putting other in the hospital), Trump said “The driver of the car is a murderer and what he did was horrible, horrible, inexcusable thing.” Why is what he said so bad? Because now it will be almost impossible to find enough “fair and impartial” people for a jury, so that white supremacist murderer might just walk.

Decent people who are Trump supporters should be between a rock and a hard place. Either he’s telling the right wingers he’s not completely against them to get their votes which is a beyond stupid strategy since it alienates everyone else ie 60-70% of the population, or he does believe what he says which means he’s not decent.
I’m not sure what Trumps thinking is for being stubborn about not overwhelmingly condemning white supremacists. Is he so egotistical that he’s unwilling to lost the only base that thus far has been steadfastly behind him? Does he not realize that that had he stuck to his 2nd message where he condemned the right wingers without exception he may have made think that hey maybe trumps not so bad and scored some points?
Does he not realize that some of the people he is defending prefer that his daughter had not married his current son-in-law. His attitude makes no sense and reinforces that he is not fit to be commander in chief. Or enemies are so rubbing their hands in glee right now.
Second thing he did wrong: He refuses to admit that this is terrorism. Only people who don’t have plucked chicken colored skin like I do can be terrorists.
I love the arrow coming down on top of his head. Yup.
There is nothing he can do to convince supporters that he is the moron in the white house. He really could go out and shoot someone on 5th ave. and he wouldn’t lose a single supporter, probably gain a few. It isn’t hard to find them on any social media sites, even as fragmented as they are now.
No matter what he does he’ll have a 30-34% approval rating and these people vote. Only 19.8% of US citizens voted for him in 2016, so I would say get ready for another 7 years of this.
Just a heads up. Use the link on the right hand side of the page to check out Margaret and Helen’s latest post.
I’d like to see the speech bubble in this cartoon shaped like a mushroom cloud.
