I don’t think anyone believes anything Sean Spicer says any more. But what’s really ironic about this is that in order to support Trump, people have to be willing to not believe anything Spicer, Trump, or anyone else in his administration says. Or else, they have to just pick and choose what they believe, while completely ignoring the rest. It’s a whole new form of willing suspension of disbelief!

Isn’t it interesting that the party of (as they would have us believe) integrity and upstanding morals is so fast and loose with the truth? Freedom means never having to say you’re sorry for loving alternative facts.
Even more lovable is the recent admission by Pence that he can’t trust himself in the company of the opposite sex without adult supervision. I guess “family values” values rules over trust and genuine character.

Though perhaps we can chalk up Pence’s prudent public posture to those Family Values Hall of Famers, Larry “Wide Stance” Craig and Mark “Pageboy” Foley, among others. I hear Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly are up for nomination this year too.
16 million people are going to starve in the next few months in South sudan and Somalia, but the US (that’s our tax dollars) wants to defund the UN because they support Abortion. It is always better to let the babies be born and starve to death than to prevent them to begin with.
In the US stories abound about child abuse of these unwanted children. That’s better to torture or starve them to death than prevent them. Guess torture is always more fun for Republicans.
@Ebdoug – as one of my all time fav columnists, the late great Mike Royko, once wrote: “It’s much harder to be a liberal than a conservative. Why? Because it’s easier to give someone the finger than a helping hand.”
Christians in this country have given Christianity a bad name. God, if he exists, needs to have a little talk with those folks. I just hope I’m not standing too near when he does.
More muslim babies are due to be born this year than Christian babies. If you wipe out a field of woodchucks or groundhogs depending on where you live, that field will repopulate with more than the equal field left along. Syria, Iraq, other Muslim countries are being devastated so they repopulate at a greater number.
The Muslim Religion does not allow lying. None of this lying and going to confession to make it all right. They aren’t allowed to lie. I don’t know much about their beliefs but it sounds as though they have a good solid basis of a Religion. Nothing like what is in the White House now.
Ebdoug, I think they are allowed to lie to infidels, just not each other. And like any religion, there are those who do as they should and many more who do as they shouldn’t.
