If there is one thing that defined Donald Trump’s campaign, it was his “America First” rhetoric. But it looks like that was just another lie.
Just a few days after becoming president, Trump signed a number of executive orders. One of the first ones reversed the Obama administration’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline. Trump bragged that it would create jobs. The same day, he also signed an order that pipelines would have to be built using American Steel. On February 23, Trump even told the CEO of US Steel that the Keystone Pipeline had to be built with American steel. And in other speeches, he said the same thing.
But this week, Trump reversed course and now says that Keystone XL doesn’t have to use American steel. He now claims that the executive order only applies to new pipelines, not pipelines already under construction. Which makes no sense. How can a pipeline that was canceled be under construction?
But here’s the kicker. One of the foreign companies who has a contract to supply steel for the pipeline is Evraz Steel, which is a Canadian subsidiary of a Russian company, Evraz PLC.

I find it mind boggling that some of his supporters still continue to think he is a successful businessman who will be able to manage the government efficiently. What is this leap of faith based on? He hasn’t provided tax returns, his ghost writer wasn’t too impressed (http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/07/25/donald-trumps-ghostwriter-tells-all) with him and nor was his tax preparer (http://edition.cnn.com/2016/10/05/politics/donald-trump-tax-adviser-returns/). He seems to have misled people and cheated people. So it has to be his showmanship. That’s the only explanation. Some americans just love a guy who can sell a product. Whatever happens down the road, this election and the aftermath continues to be a fascinating study of human psychology.
I’ll continue venting. There was a lot of gushing about how presidential trump was last week. How presidential does he look after yesterdays tweetstorm about wiretapping? I think this is an inflection point. As lindsay graham said, if the wiretapping claims are true, then either the obama administration authorised an illegal wiretap or a judge ruled there was sufficient reason to order one. So it would seem either Trump would rise up a hero or go down in flames.
He, his father, and his Grandfather were/ are all scam artists. “he who dies with the most toys wins” If you look at his face six weeks after taking office, he looks miserable.
He did not write the speech (and I have no proof) he just read it. Reagan did that. show men. After Reagan read the speech, he could answer no questions as he didn’t have any idea. He just read his lines.
Now there are people who believe in God with no proof.
Yesterday there were Trump rallies. People are believing in him. He provides no proof, lies at least 70% of the time. They keep on believing. At least it is less than half the population.
Jonah, people are taught from birth to have faith in a god. It doesn’t require much to see them being able to fall for any scam that requires faith. And once they “believe” it take a lot to shake that belief. Many will never stop believing. Even if he shoots someone on Fifth Avenue.
