It is likely because Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner — who is also Trump’s de facto campaign manager — has not forgiven Christie for putting his father, Charles Kushner, in prison, back when Christie was a US attorney. In 2005, Charles Kushner was convicted for making illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering.
