I’m glad that Trump’s campaign has announced that he will be more “presidential”. But what (specifically) does that mean?
And is it just me, or does he remind anyone else of Archie Bunker?

Not really. Archie Bunker was honest and real, which is why the show was so good.
And yet, the main reason people say they like Trump is because he “tells the truth” and that he is real and not scripted. It is ironic.
Their idea of truth leaves a lot to be desired. It’s been years since I watched that show but it seems to me that Archie was not intentionally mean, more a product of the times and his surroundings. He reminded me of my father. On the surface was a bigot, but at his funeral there were many of the guys he worked with of various colors and ethnicities who we had never met, that regaled us of stories of loans, favors and other good deeds that he did for them. If you needed it and he had it, it was yours. Often much to my mother’s dismay, but a lot more often than not, she never learned about it.
That’s very touching wildwood. Thanks for sharing. I recently had a very similar experience at my brother’s memorial service.
David, I’m sorry about your brother. Isn’t it nice though that people came and shared stories that you were not aware of.
What comes out of your mouth and what comes out of your actions can be totally contrasting. Do we judge by the verbal or by the actions?
