Not that I believe in Satan or anything, but if I did, I sure as heck would be wondering about some of the leading Republican presidential candidates. In fact, Trump wouldn’t even be my first choice for devil incarnate. After all, he missed sloth.

Donald Trump is the logical conclusion of tea party movement, which was not conservative at all (intellectually), just wanted “government out of my medicare and social security”.
Well put, Hassan. I’m especially impressed that you used “tea party” and “intellectually” in the same sentence.
Kudos for ‘logical’ and ‘tea party’ in the same sentence as well.
However, I seem to recall that in its early days, many tea partiers were anti-oligarchs as well. The oligarchs took over of course.
Kasich is the only one that doesn’t scare the crap out of me because he’d be no worse than Dubya. Although Trump seems crazier ever day, his standing relative to the other R candidates has improved as I watch the others pander to our lizard brains.
I agree that the Trump movement is an extension of the tea party. However I think large government is less of an issue for them than blacks and other minorities getting federal/state benefits. I think that’s why they are so against the Healthcare bill and seem to gravitate towards a candidate who supports racial discrimination and is anti-immigrant.
