Are conservative Christians going to be fooled again, the way they were with Dubya? I mean, for heaven’s sake, Ted Cruz is married to an investment banker and his only motto seems to be something like “Praise the Lord and gimme the greenbacks”. And while he has the most hardline stance against immigration of any presidential candidate, he himself was born in Canada to a Cuban father. Plus he talks way too much about his religious beliefs.
I’ve mentioned how almost everyone who has ever worked with him absolutely loathes him.
I just don’t get why anyone believes a word he says.

It’ll be interesting to see who brings the biggest Bible to Thursday night’s debate, next to Hucksterbee, of course, but who’s watching the Kiddie Card? Cruz is the odds on favorite, but Trump is a recent convert and looks to burnish his new halo (with trademark gold plated insignia, paid for by ISIS). It’s almost miraculous how the closer to Iowa, the closer to Godly the candidates become. Oh yeah, and corn/ethanol. Wasn’t Cruz against corn based ethanol before he was for it? No worries, still plenty of time to flop back before the Convention.
No wonder voters have become bitterly cynical. The candidates are hopelessly sin-ical.
And sin-thetic!
And now Cruz has the “spare the rod vote” locked up so there’s probably no stopping him. I wonder if he’s handled snakes? I’m guessing not because he is one, but it would be wise of him to try it so he could lock in that all important segment of religiousity.
I get the “why” of Texas Teddy’s appeal, what I don’t understand is the how.
“When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.” Sinclair Lewis, from, “It can’t happen here.”
It can, but we need to be sure it doesn’t.
Redjon – Palin & Co. had that covered years ago and we’ve since “progressed” well beyond that metric.
