This is retarded. Yes the Bush administration is supporting the bailout (and I think the bailout is a HUGE mistake) But the Dem leaders in Congress are the ones rushing it through and trying to force a QUICK voting on the bailout proposal. It was also Dem Congressmen who got millions in campaign contributions by Fannie and Freddie (Chris Dodd, Obama, Hillary, John Kerry, and on and on…)
Be mad about the bailout proposal, but don’t blame it on Bush… like everything else… it is so old, and it shows your ignorance.
I say let Fannie and Freddie go the way of Enron… with top execs in prison, and nothing but a bad memory left standing.

I for one thought it was rather funny, it says a lot about todays politicians etc.
It’s true. All I can say is:
THIS COUNTRY F*CKIN SUCKS.
As much as everyone’s trying to make this a partisan issue, it doesn’t really seem to be. It’s a “Capitalism Gone Wrong” issue, and the Dems and Repubs are equally complicit. It’s how we ALL live, “Buy Now, Pay Later”, ignorance of consequences, a desire for instant gratification, and lack of discipline. I say let it burn, ourselves included.
Neal people from both sides are saying don’t rush it. In fact Pelosi said she did not want to rush it and didn’t think there would be enough time before congress retires. Bush and Paulson are the ones pushing for this to go through. They’ve had this contingency plan for months and did not share it with Congress until right before they finish for the year. So sure, don’t blame Bush.
I believe the economic disaster represents a significant failure of our government. However, I think that blame lies deeper than Bush, deeper than congress, and is more realistic than a neocon/wall street conspiracy. I think the system is failing us at a fundamental level. We should rethink our system of government from the ground up.
