Because we’re all much too busy worrying about who’s going to be on the next episode of Dancing With the Stars, and also we can’t remember what the hell we did last weekend let alone the last time we gave “give rich people more money” a try.
Most of his campaign advisers are Harvard grads or faculty. Many of his sons went to Harvard. Now Harvard is bad? I think Mitt should change his name to Weathervane. Well oiled one at that.
They push trickle-down economics because they know that it causes the wealth trickle upward into the pockets of their donors. They are fully aware that they are endorsing a plan of self-preservation that will ruin the lives of many Americans, but they’ve succeeded in convincing many people that “personal accountability” is what they’re truly interested in. If that were the case, they should be held accountable for the laws they seek to pass.
