In a related irony, the GOP rejects the “millionaires surtax” but NPR can’t find a single millionaire who objects to it. And neither could Republicans in the House and Senate, or business groups that have been lobbying against the surtax.

As I recall there was serious discussion in the late 70s as to whether it was possible to write an error-free non-trivial computer program. This cartoon demonstrates one solution – write a program which has the goal of not working. Republicans have implemented a program designed to fail then use that failure as proof that government doesn’t work.
Republicans say the government doesn’t work. And when elected, they prove it!
