And as usual, Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman are left out.

Huntsman gets left out because Democrats fear a smart, logical, charismatic conservative that believes in science and free will, and Republicans fear a smart, logical, charismatic conservative that believes in science and free will.
I think Ron Paul and Huntsman are missing from this cartoon because they aren’t playing the GOP game. They state what they mean. GOP want a stronger candidate and have Huntsman sitting right there, but he won’t play their lying game.
Other than a few exceptions (e.g., Huntsman) all Republicans since Reagan are what I call Cartoon Conservatives–meaning there’s nothing ‘conservative’ about them, mostly just neofascists in cowboy drag. So I’m glad to see the concept, if not my exact coinage, is catching on.
In other wordplay news: Teabaggers are Koch-suckers!
Koch and Cain: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_CAINS_RISE_KOCH_BROTHERS?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2011-10-16-18-05-30
Paul and Hunstman make the most sense, and so no serious conservative will listen to them. Being a die-hard conservative these days means having to completely disregard logic, reason, evidence, and information in order to genuflect to the party line on everything. If you’ll notice, every candidate except Paul and Huntsman holds almost identical views (or at least, different views that oddly all result in the same thing), and are really just in a race to see who can appeal to the base most in the coming weeks.
At the moment, Cain hasn’t done anything to alienate himself and so he leds the polls. Huntsman and Paul don’t care about pandering to the extremes and so they don’t look good in the polls. If more Dems were involved in the polling and primary process, I bet they’d be doing much better.
