Republicans believe if they keep repeating something over and over, people will believe. Even if it clearly isn’t working. We just haven’t done it enough yet, they say.

    The problem is, they’re right. If you say something enough, eventually people will start to believe it. This is especially true when it is being said be different groups that all sound important and official. They may all stem from the same source, but they look like different entities all saying the same thing, which makes it look like a consensus.

    I agree with Jeff. (Not just to make people believe it.) But that’s one of those odd things about people that psychologists have been studying – where beliefs come from. It isn’t pretty.
