Speaking in my highly qualified capacity as a dual US / UK citizen, I can assure everyone that not paying attention to the rest of the world is what the rest of the world hopes for whenever we put too many belligerent, delusional republicans in power. Though I can only reference back to the Carter administration, the pattern is solid.
