I don’t know. What about this?
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2018/08/27/trump-replaces-nafta-and-triumphs-new-trade-deal-with-mexico-is-yuge-win-for-both-countries.htmlNope.
[note, your link doesn’t work. You have to remove the “Nope” at the end. Freudian slip?]
That’s just an opinion piece, not anything official from Fox News.
Besides, there is good reason to believe that this will be just like Trump’s good news about North Korea denuclearizing, which has fallen apart. This trade deal still needs to be ratified by Mexico, and the Mexicans hate Trump. Indeed, unless it is also ratified by Canada, there is almost no chance that Mexico will ratify it. And it won’t even be considered for ratification by the US until after the midterms, which are a while from now, and many things will change before then.
So I expect this will end up in the dustbin with North Korea, Trump’s promised beautiful replacement for Obamacare, and all the “best people” he swore he would hire in his administration — the same people he is now complaining about and dissing.
Trump just needs to be a victim.
IK, I know there is plenty to dislike about Trump. His political incorrectness and in your face politics makes me cringe. Often.
The other part though is he has had successes.
With NK, they haven’t fired missiles or tested nukes since the talks began. We should be cheering that.
Your also right that the legislatures from both Mexico and apparantly now Canada along with our own swamp wil need to approve any new trade deal. But, what Trumps supporters see is he is willing to try. And, he’ll likely achieve some new agreement although it might not be exactly what is on paper now. Again his supporters will know he fought for them.
There are a number of other measures that are very good, and had they happened under another President would be touted from morning till night.
Here’s some new ones:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/us-economy-grew-4-2-second-quarter-faster-005718383.html
These are great things for America, despite the political incorrectness of Trump.
I know you are an intellectual and can understand the economics of these and the other successes I have mentioned in other posts. It’s good for us, and our fellow Americans. There are more jobs then applicants which are pushing wages higher, and creating opportunities for upward movement. Companies are willing to train now. People are starting to see hope, and plan for the future.
Let’s debate policy, let’s make it better for all of us. I don’t really care who is he n charge as long as they are creating opportunity for those who want to put the effort into forging success.
WSJ. I can only read the first few sentences without signing up, but the part I could read says job satisfaction has been good for 7 years. Sounds more like Obama’s policies are working and Trump is taking credit.
Second article says “could”. And it must be good for Canada. Is there a way for it to be good for Canada and good for us as well? And if it’s good for Canada, will our petty, vindictive leader, sign on? Who knows? I suspect it depends on his mood at the time.
The Yahoo News article says this is likely a temporary blip and unsustainable.
I am having serious short term memory problems so by the time I read the articles and come back here to comment, I might have lost some important bits and pieces, so correct at will.
Hi Wildwood, sorry about the WSJ. I forgot it asks to subscribe.
Here is the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta site that forecasts GDP. It’s only an unofficial forcast, but gives a ballpark estimate. As of today it stands at 4.1 for the 3rd Q.

Here are some other good for America numbers to consider.
There is another WSJ article that states youth unemployment hit a 52 year low this summer. But I won’t post since it won’t let you see the whole article.

Also, you can google black unemployment, which has reached the lowest level in recorded history, going Back to the 60’s when it was first tracked.
PSgt, interesting read from the NY Times (I posted it today), where a senior administration official says that none of the good stuff about which you praise Trump has actually been Trump’s doing. In fact, it has almost entirely been done despite Trump.
