Leave it to America. In the wake of the Las Vegas massacre, when the news came out that the shooter had used “bump-stock” devices to turn semi-automatic rifles into effectively automatic weapons (like assault weapons), how did America respond? By buying more bump-stocks. Sales of these devices has spiked, and in some cases even selling out.

Welcome back! We missed you, and I for one was worried about you!
Thanks. Yup, that was the longest I have ever gone without posting! But no need to worry about me.
The trip was fantastic, but crazy. I gave something like 12 talks in under 6 weeks, all across Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Denmark, Spain, two in Germany, England) and two in the US. The talks went very well, with lots of excitement. I have a few more scheduled for the US in the future.
I have to say it was really nice to take a break from Trump. I’m going to try very hard to ignore Trump as much as possible in this blog. Even if that means posting less when he sucks all the air out of the room.
Welcome back. My son is leaving this morning for Poland. He will be there for two weeks. I’m looking forward to hearing about it when he gets back.
I’ve been checking in most days waiting for you to stop your foolish attempts to earn a living and get back to what’s truly important, giving me something to read and think about on a daily basis.
I’m not sure how you are going to avoid the orange monster, but it will be interesting either way. Again, welcome back.
Thanks you, sometimes it seems like he’s the only game in town (as he surely wants us to think from inside his pathologic narcissistic bubble). He’s like the perfect vacuum, whenever he opens his mouth it sucks all the air out of a room. Even Nature must abhor him!
Mike Barnicle summed up my feelings best about a week ago on Morning Joe after hearing another of Trump’s lame remarks criticizing the people of Puerto Rico shortly after Hurricane Maria hit. I remember thinking, “yeah, exactly how I feel”, and how many others must be feeling as well. I was going to paraphrase but quickly found the conversation online. The link below also provides a short video clip of the conversation.
“This is personal. This is not here. It doesn’t belong to anyone at this table other than me, but watching the President of the United States just then, I was reminded again, as I am reminded nearly daily now, he exhausts me,” Barnicle said. “I’m tired of seeing him. I”m tired of hearing him. I’m tired of wondering if he knows what he’s saying or what he’s doing.”

Even Republican (former?) supporters must be exhausted by now, not the least, and likely not the last, of whom is Sen. Bob Corker, who came under fire from his Twitter machine. On the (somewhat) bright side, alienating his own party can only make achieving his perverted agenda that much less likely. We can only hope that trend accelerates.
Terrifying — you could make a second-amendment case for this, now that the NRA has succeeded in twisting that amendment out of its original shape. Let’s just pray that the nuclear-arms industry doesn’t want to go mass-market like the gun industry has done.
As I was saying.
