What have they won? Nobel Prizes!
The Nobel Prizes were recently announced and there are six winners from the US.
Every one of them is an immigrant.
Many of them are now US citizens, but some are not. All of them live permanently in the US, work and do their research in the US, and teach and train students in the US.
So do you really want to build a wall to keep all the immigrants out?

This is a great country of what! I am an immigrant too, of course, not Nobel level, just basking in reflected glory.
At the core, my skill is the ability to calculate intersections between triangles and tetrahedrons. By itself it would not even merit a curiosity display between the woman-headed snake and the talking cat in a traveling circus. But America is the place where hundreds of such seemingly useless skills were put together to create a product that will calculate the signal strength of a cell phone tower as seen by the cell phone a mile away.
Half the people with those diverse skills are immigrants. The company that brought them together? Founded by immigrants. Couple of brothers, thrown out of Hungary by Nazis when they were toddlers.
As I said is this a great country or what!
Why need a wall when you can have armrest on border. Apparently nothing can happen if there is armrest.
Armrest?

Bob Dylan? From Minnesota.
Though I don’t think that detracts from the basic point- all this unjustified anger at immigrants is… well… unjustified.
