I have only seen Bush’s and Obama’s WHCD, and no doubt Obama is much more funny (more intellectual jokes as well) than Bush. I do not know about Bill Clinton much, he seemed somewhat witty as well. I think Hillary will be disappointing as Comedian in Chief.
Larry Willmore was decent as well. Unfortunately Colbert raised bar too much, I cant seem to like anyone since then.
I’m not sure Hillary would disappoint. May not be as witty as Obama, but I’ve seen her give a private speech and she can make jokes. Besides, I think the whole “Woman Card” response to Trump shows that she has a good sense of humor.
And in response to Obama at the WHCD pretending to be Clinton using Facebook “Dear America, did you get my poke? Is it appearing on your wall? I’m not sure I’m using this right. Love, Aunt Hillary” she responded in a tweet “@potus Nice job last night. Aunt Hillary approves. #WHCD -H”
Colbert definitely raised the bar.
Loved Obama and Colbert was classic. I have to admit that I was disappointed with Larry Wilmore, though. It pains me to say that, because I normally love him. A number of his jokes fell flat, and a lot of his material (especially stuff about the print media) just seemed mean. A roast is one thing, but his stuff was something else. I’m not sure if it was just his delivery or what, but I was let down.
