John Oliver takes on Donald Trump. Or should I say Drumpf? Hilarity (and a fantastic rant) ensues.
This segment should be required watching for anyone who even thinks Trump would make a good president.
And be sure to use the hashtag #makedonalddrumpfagain and visit donaldjdrumpf.com.
UPDATE: According to an article in the NY Times, search data from Google Trends shows that the most searched for candidate name today is “Donald Trump”. But neither “Marco Rubio” nor “Ted Cruz” are in second place. Instead, it is “Donald Drumpf”. Never underestimate the power of humor to change the world!

Easily one of his best segments. I can’t wait until Jon Stewart starts making content for HBO, I’m not sure when that’s supposed to be, but both of them back on one channel without the restrictions of cable will be excellent.
Any Trump supporter who watches Oliver will be immediately persuaded of Trump’s unfitness for office. I think that the typical Trump booster will be swayed particularly by Trump’s failure to appreciate the distinction between a loan and a gift, Trump’s failure to sue everyone he threatened to, the collapse of Trump Steaks, and Trump’s being the only man in America who failed to anticipate the financial crisis two years before it happened. The sobriquet “Drumpf” will just be the piece de resistance. When Trump boosters hear that, they will immediately flock to John Kasich.
BTW, here’s my favorite take down of Trump: http://ow.ly/YW5qf
Fred Drumpf had Alzheimer’s. Anyone see a similarity in his son who can’t remember David Duke or the celebrity he played golf with? Trump is turning 70 this year, just a bit below Bernie.
Since Trump answers no questions and didn’t in 2005 http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/local/columnists/andreatta/2016/03/01/andreatta-donald-trump-university/81143134/
one might think he has no answers to anything.
That is an interesting point Ebdoug brings up about the alzheimers, brings back not so fond memories of Ronnie. But it would explain some of the support falling in line with him. More hanger-ons that hope to running things from behind the scene as was done in the eighties. While some on the hard right side dream of those days as if it was Christmas time, I remember the Iran-contra debacle, selling weapons of mass destruction to Saddam, Ollis North telling lies under oath while burning all evidence of his dirty deeds, businesses being chopped up like yesterday’so fish and employees being thrown under the bus, billions of tax payer money being thrown at special defense projects with no end results, not to mention the saving and loan scandals. Trump administration is likely to up the stakes and outdo those scandals. It’s possible we will all end up remembering Ronnie rule with fond memories afterall because the train wreck coming will make the eighties appear as a cakewalk.
