Weren’t we asking pretty much these same question the last time the circus came to town in 2012? I think the short answers, then and now, are “Yes!” “No!” and “Hell yes, count on it!”.
It’s the media that keeps the GOTP propped up. God forbid we should lose one of the two parties that form our mythological “Two Party System.”
Without the much ballyhooed “Liberal Media” there would be no Republican Party today.
Jiggery pokery indeed.
The Republicans are made up of Jerry Springer guests and wanna be guests, and a few bewildered economic conservatives who are sitting in the audience wondering how they got to where they are.
Wal-Mart raised the minimum wage they pay employees, and the economy has not so far collapsed. Has anyone noticed?
Next, we’ll have hospitals getting serious about forbidding cell phone use by health care workers who move from room to room and are supposed NOT to transfer germs from room to room with them. (Hint: Unwashed cell phones carry germs as well as unwashed hands.)
When Republicans supported Nixon for a second term as criminal in chief, I thought they’d sunk as low as they could. Then they nominated Reagan! Now Nixon and Reagan look moderate compared to modern republican candidates.
To answer your three questions:
There is no point of no return
They haven’t had legitimacy for decades
It will get worse
