President Obama appears for an extended interview on the Daily Show, and discusses Iran, the media, partisanship, and public service. I wish more news were like this, and it is ironic that we have to watch a comedy fake news show to see it.
And I also want to point out that the Social Security and Medicare annual report just released says that because of the ACA and how it has dramatically slowed the growth of healthcare costs, Medicare funding will be stable for 13 years longer than projected before the ACA took effect.

Mr Obama shows why he’s head-and-shoulders above his republican know-nothing critics. He speak intelligently on any subject, he’s erudite and boy that’s what we need in the White House. Any Republcans look or sound like that? Not yet, not ever. Thank you.
Jon, I agree with everything you say except the “not ever”. There have been some amazingly intelligent and erudite Republicans. To avoid starting any arguments, I’ll just give one example that I think everyone can agree on — Abraham Lincoln. But I think there have been plenty of others (unfortunately, declining in number in the recent past). I so wish the Republicans would get their act together again.
Iron Knee, as with both parties, many that were in a party then would not necessarily be in that party today.
Wildwood: exactly. Lincoln would be a member of the party of the people now; The Democratic party.
The Southern democrats have all switched over to be Republicans over the years because they can then get the vote of the People who worshiped Lincoln. The Southern Republicans are exactly what the Southern Democrats were
