Is this how some right-wing conservatives view the rest of us?

Probably needs a People’s Republic of Austin in Texas, but otherwise pretty good.
Yeah, he should have just changed one “Waco” to “Wackos” 🙂
Enjoyable! But there obviously needs to be an update — would the path of Hurricane Sandy’s destruction just extend the “Moocher” region a little further east, or does it necessitate an eastern outpost of the Socialist Zone?
I don’t like being stereotyped and I think cartoons like this one stereotype some not-entirely-crazy people that don’t see the world the way I do. Some of these folks are my friends and we talk to each other. We don’t agree but we talk. Cartoons like this don’t leave that option open. Let’s not paint ourselves into a corner the way the Tea Party has.
Who is stereotyping? Stereotyping would be claiming that all conservatives see the world this way, and I certainly don’t believe that.
But there are definitely conservatives, including some very prominent ones (like a recent candidate for president, and a previous candidate for VP), who have made multiple statements like this.
I think it is important to condemn (or in the case of this blog, make fun of) people who make statements like that. Intolerance and discrimination is not something that we can just pretend doesn’t exist.
Wacko from Waco is a Billy Joe Shaver song and a local outdoor sporting goods store sells Keep Waco Wacko t-shirts. A sense of humor isn’t a prerequisite for living here, but it helps. We also have Dragon rockets which is totally cool.
As you might imagine, the Texas contingent of the NRA are doing all they can to support and augment the stereotype.
Hmm, in that case I guess using “Wackos” for Austin won’t work. Dang. Back to the “drawing board”.
I also wish they had managed to fit “Pat of Butter in Sea of Grits” for Chapel Hill, NC. But that’s probably way too obscure and unknown to be humorous.
Oh, Reed! As Joan Rivers would say, “Oh grow up!” Right wingnuts need to be brought down like this more often. Get a reality check!
Given that Colorado is also “Potlandia” now, there needs to be a little enclave of “420” on the map in the middle of the “Heartland” section. Right where Boulder is!
