I fully admit that this is blatantly political, but he is just so darned cute:

I think he has earned the right to be heard. He also makes me miss my Father and Godfather who were both WWII veterans. Imagine if we were being lead by our Elders and not the upstarts, perhaps things would be different.
Ralph Maxwell: the 92 year old vet. Track awards just this year.

I think calling him “cute” is a little dismissive. He clearly is in command of his facts; his passion is obvious; he is educated and well-spoken and has been in service to his country much of his life as a veteran, judge, and informed voter.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, though. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I didn’t mean calling him cute to be derogatory, any more than calling my blog “humorous”. And you have to admit, he is amazingly cute.
Brilliant. I hope I can stand, let alone write and recite a poem when/if I make it to his age.
I still find his prowess on the track awards in 2012 amazing.
Agreed, Eva.
