Last night, someone hacked my website and destroyed the WordPress database. Luckily, I had a backup that was less than 24 hours old. I restored the database from the backup.
While I did not lose any of my posts, unfortunately, any comments made yesterday were likely lost forever. Feel free to repost your comments if you wish (and can remember them).
Sorry about that.

I appreciate everything you and the other contributors here do, and in some way I am pleased that we’re making enough sense to be a target 🙂
I’m sure anything I typed was an attempt at sarcastic and likely inappropriate humor that went completely unappreciated. 😉
And most of what I contribute are edits that are later deleted (appropriately so) and various pleasantries.
Now if we lost all of Starluna’s stuff, or PatriotSTG, for instance, that would be a problem.

The invasion certainly smacks of someone targeting you. Just think, you and RMN, targeted by the same lamebrains.

Good thing that I spent the entire day yesterday locked in a over-AC’d function room grading writing proficiency exams and not engaged in more interesting reading on this blog.
To celebrate the good news that this blog continues to exist despite the hackers, I would like to share one of the many gems of “critical thinking and writing” that I recorded to use in writing workshops. This is in reference to the claim that pharmaceutical advertisements are endeavors to define what is good or acceptable (e.g. introversion is bad) in order to sell drugs (you must have social anxiety disorder and we have a pill for that).

Uh, yeah. Sure.
I think the only reason I was targeted was because I was getting a lot of traffic for a couple of days (35,000 page views the day before I was hacked). We were targeted by spammers trying to sell erectile disfunction medicines. So sorry, I don’t think it can be credited to our ideology.
PatriotSgt, I wish we had more people like you in here. You provide a very important conservative (but still rational) view. I don’t always agree with you, but I would trade a handful of liberal commenters for another person like you. Besides, it is rather courageous of you to stick your neck out by commenting in this pit of principally progressives.
