This is brilliant and right on point. The Republicans work entirely for the super wealthy … everything they say or do is ultimately in their service. Most of them don’t really care at all about social issues. They just use them to get middle class and poor Americans who are totally screwed by GOP policies to vote for the Republicans anyway.
Iron Man. You are so correct. In the books written about Rove, you learn that one of his main aims is to castrate the Unions. and it has begun.”War against the working people” Wealth distribution works, but they fight against it. As you read Obama’s first book about his community organizing days, you read that he and the community fought long and hard to get a factory in Chicago for the poor unemployed. Finally got his way. The factory, though, was built across town which meant a one hour bus ride both ways.
I think you will find that those who fall for the GOP are not educated.
Interesting article in CSMonitor on Afghanistan: Camparing four provinces. Panishir and Parwan compared to Hemand and Kandahar. 71% in P&P support girls’ education. In H&K, 42% support, 49% do not support education to girls.
Re: 9/11 (our reason for being in Afghanistan to capture Bin Laden)”do you know about 9/11?” In P&P 65% know about 9/11. In H&K, only 8% know anything about 9/11. In other words, with no education, they have no idea what we are doing in thier country. Since the rise of the Taliban in the 1980s, there was no education in Afghanistan until we invaded in 2001.
