Fox News, the station that argued in court that they have the right to purposely lie, that gives far more airtime to Republicans than to Democrats, and even gives money to the Republican party, is advertising its new special report “Behind The Bias: The Liberal Media Bias”. It will be hypocritically hosted by Sean Hannity. Here’s the ad:

At least they got a straight-shooter like Michelle Malkin to weigh in on the issue.
Oh… wait…
I remember when Malkin first started making the rounds on the cable circuit. She’d get so mad she would look like a lunatic or demon. I laughed to myself thinking how the media, particularly the left fringe like the Olberman’s were going to eat her for lunch.
Years ago, Republican party chair Rich Bond explained that conservatives’ frequent denunciations of “liberal bias” in the media were part of “a strategy” (Washington Post, 8/20/92). Comparing journalists to referees in a sports match, Bond explained:
“If you watch any great coach, what they try to do is ‘work the refs.’ Maybe the ref will cut you a little slack next time.”
Modern conservatism is defined by denialism. Trickle down economics benefits everyone, global warming is a climatalogist conspiracy, and invading other countries is vital for the protection of American liberty. In such a world, of course empirical facts have a distinct liberal bias! Not that empirical facts get much consideration in the corporate owned and ratings driven mainstream media anyway…
@Patriot: What evidence is there that Olbermann is the “fringe left”? He’s certainly “left”, but being loud, pompous and full of yourself doesn’t make you fringe, it just makes you obnoxious.
When I watch Fox News, which oddly enough is fairly often (‘train wreck’ sort of thing I guess), the word that always comes to mind is “SMARMY”.
Is it just me?
Sammy, you’re probably more correct then I, but IMO just the fact that the left leaning MSNBC fired him pushes him farther to the left then most.
