It could be worse — they could be recycling Newt.
UPDATE: The Onion has the best remembrance of Reagan for his birthday.
UPDATE 2: Demystifying Reagan.

I bet they will recycle Newt — any takers???
Thanks for the comic, RR! I especially love the quote you gave:
— U.S. President Ronald Reagan, March 21, 1983
Patricia, I’m sure Newt will. The link in the original post was to him, desperately trying to don the mantle of Reagan:
I’m sure he was displaying self-sufficiency when he dumped his first wife while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer. And when he did it again to his second wife after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Both times he was having affairs.
I think Newty is already recycling himself. I read “I’m running” on much of what he’s been up to lately. Imaging a Newty/Sarah ticket in 2012. Or would it be Sarah/Newty?
If Newt runs it will be just to keep himself top of mind to sell another book or land a talk show. How will he reconcile the family values party with his terrible record of infidelity and divorce?
That onion link is fantastic.
Sammy, since when do Republicans ever have to reconcile the past with what they currently stand for?
Rumsfeld said that everyone believed in the Government that there were WMDs in Iraq. Revisionist history. At least Cheney, Bush, and Rove knew there were none before Powell went to the UN. Scott Mcclellen “What Happened?” As their spokesperson, he asked them at the time. They denied they knew. After the Valerie Plame outing, they admitted to him that they knew.
