I shared this with my husband and he responded, “It’s like having another job.”

Although, from what I understand of Nielsen’s measurement system, what we don’t know is how many people are actually watching the television versus simply having the TV on. I know a lot of people who just have the TV on even though they may not be watching it at all. They just want the background noise. I wonder how widespread that is, or if it is just that I know a lot of weird people.

I also resemble it. I just turned the tv off. Now I can listen to the dryer and some traffic noises. I wonder if my radio still works. 🙂
