I am not a fan of Olbermann, but he nails it perfectly here. Especially about the part regarding racists being convinced THEY are the civil rights advocates.
I, too, am not a fan of Olbermann, he reminds me too much of what I detest about Fox and friends, but I agree he is spot on in his rant. As a retired federal employee, I find the treatment accorded Ms. Sherrod by her employer an abomination, a disgrace. I find Fox and friends methodology no different than it’s been for years – damn the truth, full speed ahead. This entire incident is a very sad commentary on the state of affairs in our country.
See also Rachel Maddow’s rant, where she shows the hypocrisy of Fox News, using their own words. But in this one example, I think Olbermann did a better job than Maddow (which is unusual).
If you want to call out Breitbart, then cool. But why FoxNews? All I have seen on FoxNews are anchors berating bosses and the White House because this woman got fired.
I must ask this question…..did any of you who are complaining about either Breitbart or FOX complain when Tea Partiers were accused of spitting and using epithets against a congressman? We all know there were hundreds of cameras in the area. Breitbart offered 10K for evidence of it. Were you complaining then?
