The Tea Party has pretty much taken over the Republican Party. Who needs a radical fringe when you don’t have any moderates any more?

    Establishment Publicans have met the enemy and become it. Sad, but true. I must say, though, that judging by the folks who live here in my home county, there is still room for the party to move farther to the right. I mean, really, chemtrails and Agenda 21 still aren’t quite Publican planks.

    I remember when the Tea Party movement first started, and my Tea Party friends (all Republicans) insisted that their movement was not political; it was just as much a protest against GWBush’s spending (despite the fact that they never said a single word while he was in office!) as it was about Obama. Yeah, I’m still laughing about that one…
