Conservatives love to claim that the "liberal lame stream media" is a shill for the Democrats. This is clearly another example of their polished tactic of accusing others of the very crimes THEY are committing to distract and confuse the ignorant. After all, if most media outlets are liberal shills, then it must be OK for Faux News to be a conservative shill.

So media outlets trying to prove that they are ACTUALLY fair and balanced over-react in support of conservative viewpoints while Faux can be blatantly partisan and get away with it.

It is unfortunate for conservatives that if you focus on the facts and real logic, and attempt to understand reality, that you usually find that the liberals are much closer to the truth than conservatives.

I guess from their perspective, reality has a liberal bias.

I thought the Pew Research poll on what people knew about the election very telling. Of the eleven questions, men averaged about 6.5 correct. Women 5.5. In other words, no one knows and no one cares. All but 2% have decided who to vote for. White men even if they are democrats don't vote for Obama. Black men do. I call them the "uninformed" yet they can vote. All the ads and noise help our economy. Other than that it is useless.

I think PolitiFact and the MSM in general are bending over backward to appear fair minded in the current ideological battle. Consequently, they have to give conservatives a few "free ones." That PolitiFact gave Reid a "Pants On Fire" rating may not be the best example of this. Reid's comments seem intended to keep the pressure on Romney to release his past tax returns. Good luck with that. Certainly, likely GOP voters will not apply the pressure themselves.

I'm very impressed with how many people have realized that Romney has no substance. And it's even more obvious when he chooses Paul Ryan as his running mate. The Obama campaign did a great job of pressing Romney on being a 1-dimensional candidate, which forced Romney to select a VP that made him appear more substantive. But the ploy seems to be falling apart, and more people I talk to seem to understand that Romney is talking out of nearly every orifice in his effort to get votes.
