Heterosexuality is a Choice?

© Ruben Bolling

I guess if conservatives believe that homosexuality is a choice, then it must also be true that heterosexuality is a choice. So any man who is attracted to women must also be attracted to men. If he is heterosexual, he just chooses to seek out only women, and if he is homosexual, he chooses to seek out only men. Seems logical to me!

Personally, I’ve always been a bit annoyed that I am heterosexual, and not bisexual. So many attractive people out there, but I’m somehow limited to only half of them!

To be fair, there is a passage in the Bible, and I have to paraphrase: Some men are made eunuchs, some are born eunuchs, and some choose to be eunuchs. There are some preaching that Jesus was saying some are born homosexual. Animals can be homosexual, this usually happens with over population. I just can’t understand why some people that say they follow the teaching of universal love and understanding can have so much hate.

That naysayers group is growing smaller every year. In the military we hardly noticed the change after the repeal of DADT. We had several classes and training sessions and pretty much the consensuses was, oh well, carry on. Most I know were either in favor or nuetral on the matter. The only real concerns I heard from just a small few were about the communal shower arrangements we have alot of particularly in war zones, basic training, etc. My response to those questions were military customs and courtesies apply in the shower as well as the battlefield and besides if you’ve been in for a while you already taken a shower with someone gay. Shoulders shrugged and we went on to the next topic.
