This time, everywhere I went people asked where I was from, and when I answered they smiled broadly and gave a big thumbs up to Obama. It was almost miraculous. As Bono points out, this election catapulted the US to the top of the Nation Brands Index as the most admired country in the world, the largest jump any country has ever made.
