I liked the way that Jon put it, too (at the end of the video) -- that the hole they stitched up in Beck's ass hadn't healed enough for him to stop talking out of it. I was wondering if one of my regular readers was going to correct me, and you guys didn't disappoint! Very different issues and circumstances, obviously. But there are parallels in craziness fueled by fear and bigotry, fomented today by the likes of Glenn Beck. You know, when I see these people who are losing their mind and shouting things like “I want my country back” at those health care reform meetings and appealing to Glenn Beck, I am reminded of the crowds taunting and screaming at the Little Rock Nine in 1957. Very different issues and circumstances, obviously. But there are parallels in craziness fueled by fear and bigotry, fomented today by the likes of Glenn Beck.
