The concept that this cartoon gets at (very well) I find terribly frustrating.
Why the h*** can’t the other side learn to “campaign” as well as the health care industry does?
The answer to that question is easy — yet another case of “follow the money”. The health industry has tons of money to throw at defeating any attempt to take away their profits. The other side has sick, bankrupt people who have been screwed over by our health care system.
@ Iron Knee. Actually, I suspect it was that easy, when Clinton tried. But what happened to OFA (Obama For America) crowd?
Obama–or, at least, his campaign staffers–understood how to run a dark horse campaign (sorry, pun intended, couldn’t resist).
Well, it’s time to do it again. So where are they? This one is too big to screw up.
Dang, there was a good article about this recently, but I can’t find it. The upshot of the article is that the OFA crowd is feeling betrayed because Obama and the Dems took single payer off the table (among other compromises). So they have not been as active on this issue.
@ Iron Knee. I’ve been honestly wondering what happened. If you find that article, could you send it my way? Thanks!
This is not the article I was thinking about, but it is similar:

@ Iron Knee. Thanks. (Goes off to read)
