Not sure why this cartoon only slams conservatives/Republicans for the bailout. Plenty of Democrats had a hand in it too, why not slam them as well? Or am I missing something?
It is the conservatives who promote “free markets” as the solution to every problem. The Republicans have long claimed that the government should be kept out of the way of business — thus it is more hypocritical of them to vote for the bailout. Not only is it government intervention in a market, this financial crisis was largely caused by the repeal of government regulations that had been in place since just after the great depression.
How come the first job reduction is always the ones’ that help the common people? Check and balance, always the checkers first so no one can watch the balance. Just wondering.
