Frankly, both presidential candidates (and their vice presidents) are poor choices. Who in their right minds thought either of them were the best options in their respective parties?

However I must disagree with JAN. Most people are not voting for Obama to make him the first Afican American President ... I don't care what color skin he is, or even what sex (I myself find Hillary to be a better choice than Obama or McCane). I believe that most people are voting against McCane and his plans to put the country further into recession (if McCane was a beer, he would be "Bush" Lite) ... Obama just so fortunately is the other candidate and luck be it, he be black.

I'm definitely with ya Stan, My opinion, we finally have a choice, rather that the lesser of two evils,
I just have to laugh at the PUMA people, now here is a group that just missed the boat, they would cut of there noses just to spite their faces. Obviously they are not suffering in the current conditions that DICK Cheney and Bush whacker, have led the country to. They don't have any relatives serving in the Armed forces, They have tons of money, etc... they would rather vote for a guy that plans on continuing the same failed polices, then vote for an extremely intelligent, insightful, caring guy like Obama, if they want to punish the Dem. party. at least they could do in a fashion that could get us policies better than McSame McLame McBush McCain, and vote for Ron Paul or the nut job Nader... would still be better than the Republican policies.

Nice comic, comical comments!

I will be voting for....Obama. You had better believe it! I used to like McCain. I even used to say I would vote for him, and I am a Democrat! He used to do whatever it took to get the job done. He stood for what he felt was right, whether or not his party agreed. However, over the past few years, something happened to him. What I am not sure. Perhaps he is going scenile or something. Maybe the party has him over a barrel. Whatever it is, he is not the same man.

McCain supporting torture, and in extension putting our boys at risk? McCain has flipped on so many issues, and on the ones he has been consistent on he has been consistently wrong, imo. He has voted numerous times against our Vets. He has refused to vote for equal pay for women. He now wants to drill, when in the past he called that plan fruitless. He tells sexist jokes, and also makes jokes about killing Iranians. That is NOT Presidential! His memory seems to be failing him. He can't remember that Czechoslovakia hasn't been a country for some time now, and can't get Sunni's and Shiites straight. His foreign policy is authored by a lobbyist for foreign nations. He has all kinds of lobbyists writing policies for him, bank lobbyists, and lobbyists for dictators and leaders of countries with terrorist ties. Sure, they had to give up the lobbying job to work for him, but don't you think it is odd that they all dropped their jobs to work for him and write his policies? And some have even admitted they will go back to lobbying later, and I imagine they will get fat paychecks for their work in buying an administration should he win. The Rove people, the same people he complained bitterly about, all now work for him. There seems to be no boundaries with him. Not to mention he voted for Bush policies 95% of the time. I don't WANT more Bush policies! Tax cuts for the rich? Are you kidding me? We are in an economic crisis? Have we learned nothing from history? WHen the rich are not taxed proportionately, democracies FAIL.

Obama has been almost prophetic in his words since he was elected. Time and again he was right about foreign and domestic policy. HE wanted a timetable. McCain and Bush said it was cut and run foolishness. We now have a timetable for leaving Iraq. He wanted to engage in political discussion with our adversaries. Bush and McCain called him an appeaser. We are now talking with Iran. By the way, one of the purposes of the State department is to TALK to our adversaries!

They said Clinton was too inexperienced. Yet he lead us through some of the best times this country has known! Obama will return us to intelligent government once again! GO OBAMA!

I completely disagree with limp Willy's Intro, I do think the Comic is extremely funny and a great satirical dig, and everyone has brought forth funny and interesting comments, giving everyone something to ponder and go research, When comments are posted calling everyone an idiot for their ideas, I think it is quite fair to point out the 'pot calling the kettle black' an idiot calling others idiots in other words. And given only the post as a reference and insight to the character or education or mind set of the poster, it is all fair game. I do agree partially with his first point, Educate yourselves, meaning stay away from Fox news, spend time on NPR, C-Span, Factcheck.org,Snopes.com, and several other sources of info. and I definitely agree with his 3rd point, get a sense of humor.

JJ... you wrote that the electoral college took away the voting rights of Florida and Michigan... that is incorrect. The Democratic party initially took away those states ability to vote for the Democratic nominee at the Democratic convention. They did not take away those states' citizens right to vote in the general election, because they can't, nor could anyone.

As for those writing about how what the people vote for doesn't matter because the electoral college decides who is president, you are only partially correct. In all but two states, the electors for your state vote for whoever has the most popular votes in your state, so if the republican candidate has the most votes for your state, all the electoral points your state has go to that candidate. Your votes do count, but if the majority of people in your state vote for the other candidate, well, that's just tough luck. If you don't like it, get out in support of your candidate and make sure people get out to vote.
